Took a small break from commissions to do something for myself, since I rarely ever get to draw things for myself these days. Decided to design myself a new character, since I usually find character design to be relaxing... plus I just wanted to draw something monstery!

He's nameless for now, as that seems to be the hardest part of the character development process for me. I really have no idea what to name him... I don't think I want it to be something common though, maybe something foreign or even alien-sounding.

Don't ask me what species he is, either! Usually I tend to work out the aesthetic side of a character before delving further into backstory, personality, etc. I'm pretty certain I want him to look intimidating though, but be rather easy to dominate. Pseudo scary monster kinda thing. He's pretty harmless, probably. Except possibly for eating people, maybe, I dunno yet.

I also imagine his skin would feel like a frog's or an eels. I've never touched an eel though but that's just what it makes me think of. Very smooth thin skin... and he's probably cold-blooded as well.

I think that's about all I have figured out for him so far!


EDIT: NAME CRISIS SOLVED! It's Hastur.
